Espanto

Lo que vio lo espantó.

Wittgenstein

Digital

Reading The Paris Review since issue number 48 in 1969 and now go to digital edition and don't know if for long.

Mar

A la mar, gritó la bestia. Y sigue la surf y el sol y el jenjén.

Roger Clemens

Roger Clemens found not guilty. An example of jury nullification and a stop to a Congress composed of 435 professional liars that used the Department of Justice to bring charges of perjury against a citizen. The Republic shows signs of life, at times.

Martin Usborne, Tea with five sugars

Martin Usborne, Tea with five sugars

The stillness of a British urban interior space and the separation between the three persons. A picture of privacy socialised.

Borges

1912 The Maine Buried at Sea

1912 The Maine Buried at Sea
HAVANA — The wreck of the Maine was towed out of the harbor and buried at sea to-day. The ceremonies attending the final sinking of the battleship began last night with a banquet at the American Club. Father Chidwick, who was the chaplain of the Maine, delivered the memorial address. The boxes containing the remains of bodies found in the wreck were taken to the City Hall, where they lay in state during the night. Business was entirely suspended to-day. There was a great display of American and Cuban flags entwined with crape. Father Chidwick celebrated a solemn requiem mass this morning.

Castro/Coca-Cola/Guevara-Mercedes-Benz

Serra's Writings and Finnegans Wake

I am unable to visualise what Richard Serra describes in his texts. It is like reading geometry or the explanation of a locked-room murder mystery. Unintelligible until I see the diagram. La maqueta. Yet on the page it is as concrete as Finnegans Wake and the text is the sculpture.
