Serra's Writings and Finnegans Wake

I am unable to visualise what Richard Serra describes in his texts. It is like reading geometry or the explanation of a locked-room murder mystery. Unintelligible until I see the diagram. La maqueta. Yet on the page it is as concrete as Finnegans Wake and the text is the sculpture.

I drove into Pt Roberts. No Canada customs. US customs officer asked me, “You here to visit the oddity?” Gas and booze were priced in US $ but Canadian $ accepted one to one. This was, perhaps, 10 years ago. The kids, I think, can go to Canadian schools per a treaty and the BC fire brigades provide service. Cool place.

The Flapping Fingers

Murray Handwerker, the scion of the Nathan´s Famous hot dogs founder dies and this quote about him from his son:
